It's always a little tiring on the PC being subject to the latest market share grabbing excersizes going on in this space. TEC Tech Tree: Civilian Tech level: 7 Prerequisites: Cultural Monopolization Once researched, Insurgency will randomly spawn Rebels at an enemy planet, at any time, making Insurgency useful for keeping your enemy preoccupied, or being forced to use valuable resources for planetary defense, although they attack mostly at random they usually prefer a planet deep in your space with sparse. I also wonder where, exactly, Stardock's digital distribution platform would be without Sins? They even used Beta 1.1 to launch the new Impulse thing. I do have a slight concern that they should crack straight on with a sequel rather than mess about with add-ons though. I'd almost rather run the old (pre 1.1 Sins with some of the excellent mods) than the 1.1 with no mods. Meanwhile the support for Sins has been excellent although they it's all come at a bit of a cost to modding with all the chopping and changing they've been doing. The latter essentially died when GPG completely dropped support. It's remarkable comparing the after-release support of this title versus, say, Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance. As an RTS nut it was an automatic play and enjoyed it a lot. I think actually a lot of the success is down to marketing at a time when editorial sites were talking about these guys treating gamers like adults when there was a lot of DRM bad-news knocking about. It's a lot better in the new beta luckily. Strange they're citing the system requirements as being key to the success? It actually slowed to an absolute crawl on my outrageous gaming PC when the action got really tough.
